HOW TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA VISIBILITY

I will start by stating this “social media is a tool to Make or Mar” depending on how you use it.

In a world of digital possibilities, anyone lagging behind in the need to measure up with social media is yet to come into digital realization and is likely to lose a lot in a time as this.

Now, the funny truth is that most Christians still find social media as a threat to morality (which is not entirely wrong) and therefore don`t see the need to use it or utilize it.

So many Christian sisters and brothers have potentials that when they share with the large world will be a blessing to the people around them and also put food on their table.

This is why before I start fully on the need for the use of social media, I want us to learn, relearn and unlearn on the ideology or perception that social media is for the worldly people alone and Christians should not have any need for it or better still use it for the transfer of information like just Whatsapp your relations outside the country and that is it.

I hope we got that right!!

Now, how to grow your business through social media visibility!

As a social media manager and a content creator, I can tell you for free that when you follow these steps, you are on the right steps to becoming a global sensation.

·         Own a social media page for your business: As a Christian sister, make sure you have a social media page for all those things you do! For example, you can sew, you can bake, make hair, you can teach, you are a good counselor, you are good with kids, whatever it is you are good at (it could be in form of goods, services, social activities etc) make it visible to others, a popular saying goes thus “no man is an island” we need each other to grow! Let the world see what else you can do, beside the person they know you for.

The world is a global village, you don`t know who might be in need of your services, or who you are motivating with whatever it is you do.

Note: Don`t open social media with the mindset of getting all the customers in the world at once or immediately, it is a gradual process, follow the second point to know more.

·         Create and post contents: Once you have followed the first step, the next thing to do is to make sure you make posts of whatever it is you are doing. Don’t create a page and leave it dormant, it is as good as not creating the page.

Note: it can be stressful to keep your social media accounts updated if you are the too busy type, this is a tip (Chose a day that is less busy for you and create about 4 or 5 contents in a day for your page and then be drooping them one by one or you do what we call post scheduling)

·       Post Consistently: It is important to be ready to be consistent before you go ahead to open a page, be it a Facebook, Instagram or any social media page at all. As I have said earlier, if you are not consistent in dishing out contents out there, then there is no need to have created the page. Chose a day or days in the week that you will be posting, you can say I will post 4 times in a week and its going to be every Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays etc. it helps you to concentrate on other things and still keep your page active.

·       Be intentional: Tell yourself this is the reason why I created this page, I want to motivate, I want to teach people, I want to have customers, I want people to come to my church, I want people to know Christ, I want to meet like minds, I want Facebook or Twitter to monetize me and I will be making money, whichever one it is, state it and be intentional about posting things that’s fulfilling to such reasons.

Note: I`m not promising it’s going to be an easy experience, but I’m promising it’s going to worth it at the end of the day. Don’t relent, don’t give you, keeping pushing till you can look back and see God did!

I am Blessing Iriaka, it was nice learning with us!
