GOOD GOVERNANCE IN NIGERIA: A MIRAGE OR A REALITY

Good governance is the responsibility of every government starting from the Local government level to the state and the federal level.

Good governance can be a reality if the citizens take governance seriously and always fight for what is theirs.

When we talk about good governance, all we are demanding is the effective use of the people’s public funds to better their lives.

Every government should have the people’s goodwill in mind and do everything possible to make the people enjoy good and quality leadership.

People are the core value of every government and meeting their needs is as important as ruling this people.

Government is meant to be the government of the people for the people and by the people, but today what we are seeing is nothing order than the government of the few by the few and for the few.

The masses are suffering on a daily basis, in a country as big as Nigeria; people are still dying of hunger, we have people who still find it difficult to feed on a 3 square meal a day.

Crime and illegalities are on a high side with the excuses such as “the government couldn`t provide for us, we are trying our best to survive”.

The high rate of unemployment is so alarming, a country with over millions of graduates every year and yet nothing to show.

These and many more are the reasons we need to have our leaders accountable, from the local government level to state and federal, as every government is accountable to its people.

This is to let us know that good governance is not a mirage, but a reality.

CWC LAGOS: A HOPELESS REALITY

  The federal government's vision to establish a well-coordinated and regulated drug distribution system across Nigeria is one of the most vital reforms in our healthcare sector.  Designed to eliminate the chaos of open drug markets and improve public health outcomes, the Coordinated Wholesale Center (CWC) project was meant to bring order, safety, and accountability into the pharmaceutical supply chain.
