Some of Us

Life has been different for everyone on earth, some were born with silver spoons, a few lost the spoon after birth, while some were born with wooden spoons, in all, we were all born.

Some went to the best schools in town, while some of us made due with the community schools in our trenches.

Few went outside the country after their first degree, to further their education, while some of us are looking for jobs complementing our first degree.

Some got jobs immediately after their NYSC, some were retained in their places of primary assignment with good pay and accommodation, while some of us are willing to take up even teaching jobs to make a living.

Some got married while we were in school, many others after their NYSC, some of us are fighting to get someone who can get up every morning thinking about us.

Some had kids after marriage and are mothers and fathers now, while some of us are still struggling to have someone to call us Mum or Dad.

That reminds me….

Some lost their lives while we were in primary school, a few others while in our secondary school, we lost our buddies in the university and friends to National service.

Oooh yay….

We are still alive, just that it seems God hasn`t answered our prayers yet and we are all shades of depressed and determined to make it by all means.

This is me reminding you of “THE SOME” that are better of you, and the some you are better of, and to let you know it is expedient to always thank

GOD for the some you have.
